Rohallion Medium Secure Unit

Rohallion Clinic is a new build forensic inpatient unit providing Medium Secure Services for males from across the North of Scotland region, including Grampian, Highland, Orkney, Shetland and Tayside.

The unit is hosted by NHS Tayside and based at Murray Royal Hospital in Perth. The medium secure unit provides 32 male mental illness beds, split between an 8 bed admission ward (Spey) and two 12 bed rehabilitation wards (Ythan and Vaara).

The service specialises in providing outcome focused services for people who require specialist forensic healthcare as well as people with mental health problems.

The service provides assessment and treatment services for men with mental health needs and a history of offending behaviour.

The patient activity and therapy centre — SCAPA provides the setting for both individualised and group activities for patients from both low and medium secure.
