NHSScotland North Regional Hub
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we started working with a hub method to help provide support to the boards for short term pieces of work.
Going forward, the principles of the hub work will remain in place and we will continue to work this way, with a smaller workforce and reduced capacity as we do not have as many staff as we did at the start of the pandemic.
The following diagram illustrates the role of the North Regional Hub in relation to Boards, National Priorities and Business As Usual:
Examples of work carried out by the North Regional Hub include:
· Analysis of Planned Care waiting times
· Analysis of Board Remobilisation Plans following COVID-19, identifying similarities and variation between the Board plans, in order to identify potential areas for collaboration
· Thrombectomy Patient Pathway Sub-Group – organising and facilitating a series of regional workshops to support the development of the patient pathway for a regional mechanical thrombectomy for stroke service
· Discovery Analysis of current situation around Diagnostics including endoscopy and imaging to understand pressure points around the region.
If you would like to get in touch and discuss whether the regional team can support an initiative, then please contact us
