Workforce

A North of Scotland regional workforce programme was established in 2017. Initial focus was placed on establishing single system working to support boards across the region.

Over the past 2 years priorities have changed and the impact of covid-19 has refocused this work and discussions are under way to understand which of the 3 pieces of work listed below can be supported during the pandemic and what should be prioritised in 2021/22 when the north Boards expect to have more capacity to move these forward. The following have been identified as priorities by HR Directors across the North:

• Recruitment Shared Services
• Payroll Shared Service
• Regional workforce planning

August 2022 update

Current focus is on

• Recruitment Shared Services - International Recruitment
• Regional Workforce Planning - provision for a regional lead
